Beijing Hanhai Auction Co., Ltd., founded in 1994, is one of the earliest comprehensive auction houses in China. Its core businesses include the auction of cultural relics and artworks. Representative enterprise approved by the Beijing Municipal People's Government, Hanhai is one of the first companies authorized to handle auctions involving first, second, and third-category relics. The company is also the first comprehensive auction institution in China recommended by both the National High People's Court and the Beijing High People's Court.

The biggest sales include the purchase of Zhang Xian's North Song scroll, which was bought by the Beijing Palace Museum in 1995, and the record sale of the painting by Fu Baoshi during the 2011 autumn auction at 230 million yuan.

More than commercial success, Hanhai Auction actively involves itself in cultural preservation and public welfare. The company has participated in several charity auctions and organized various public exhibitions showcasing important cultural relics from different parts of China.
