Viriathus Antigüedades & Vintage is a renowned antique shop based in Mexico City, widely recognized for its selection of exclusive pieces charged with great historic, emotional, and aesthetic value. Through this brand, there is very deep storytelling that tracks back to the passion of the founders, who began merely as collectors out of the love of finding forgotten treasures. The collection grew so huge that it overflowed from the family's house to the Sopa de Ideas advertising agency, which became an unofficial warehouse and was humorously referred to as "Bodega de Ideas."
Driven by a jointly entrepreneurial bent in mind, the brothers and founders decided to spin the hobby into a thriving business. From a simple idea between friends, this escalated to such a successful business that the founders decided to open their central headquarters in a house in Colonia Roma. Such was its success that Viriathus Antigüedades & Vintage had to grow to two more locations within Casa Palacio in Antara and Santa Fe. The brand name "Viriathus" was chosen for its profound family roots, with a touch of Latin; it simply refers to the concept of quality and timeless creation.
With a collection of more than 7,000 objects, every piece at Viriathus is handpicked with great care and attention. The philosophy of the shop is one of recovering forgotten objects to give them a place in modern life, where new owners become the next chapter in the rich history of each item. Viriathus Antigüedades & Vintage is an obsolete paradise for people who find beauty and stories left in antiques and provides a unique chance to connect to their past through tangible and timeless treasures.
